Faint Muse..

The naked sky looks at me,
cryin in despair-
when I look up.
Lost the star spangle;
hence groping thro the dark,
drifting along the uncharted roads
-not by foot,but by gut.
Bubbly bubbled,
laughter stifled, treading along-
grappling with harsh reality,
searching for the lost ones, and lost life..
Waitin for a resurrection?
I SO hope..

PS: The Muse, a thing of the past,now;
Am fine, live n kicking ,now:)

Guess Who's Back...

Reflection: Finals of the Natwest Trophy- More than the phenomenal victory, one image remains very vivid, almost indelible- an ecstatic sourav ganguly taking his shirt off and waving it- with total pride.
It made a statement, defining enough. The image symbolized the renaissance of Team India, an absolutely fresh look, with new found, welcome aggression and a never before fighting spirit. Sourav epitomized the new generation- the rejuvenated bunch ready to take on any opposition and give it their best. He wore his heart up his sleeve. He marshalled his resources admirably and was primarily instrumental in instilling the young blood into the team. Had it not been for the Prince of Kolkatta, Yuvraj, Zaheer, Kaif , and many many other talents would have been in dumps.He picked the nuggets of gold from the million grains of sand. Sourav had his days of glory, when he has played some brilliantly scintillating innings, doing what he does best- hitting effortless sixers off left arm spinners (La Allan Border Ishtyle) and oh, in the process, winning matches for India. Also, he had his almost-as-long-as-Nile-lean-patch, was a non-performing captain- lackadaisical on the field, and gave some wonderful catch- practice to the opponents’ slip cordon. The arrogance was marked, became even more evident,coutesy,the deplorable batting form (or the lack of it). The icing on the cake of bitterness being, the spat with Greg Chappel. Sacked and reduced to nothing, scathing articles about his supercilious attitude smeared ALL over,in fact, wherever! Some inexplicable antagonism from the media front, I felt. The guy who has led India to many moments of glory, just due to an extended loss of form, and HOWEVER his attitude might have been, neednt have received the most hostile of deals.
Ten months of wilderness, introspection, mellowing down, finding feet. It worked brilliant, didn’t it? The “51 not out” in the first innings is NOT about the fifty one runs. It’s not about the blemish less boundaries hit with the typical-sourav-panache and flamboyance. No, it’s not that he top scored the innings also. It’s about the grit and gumption. It’s about the dogged spirit and courage. If there was a meter that measures resilience, the meters have gone for a recaliberation, because Sourav Ganguly’s Resilience Quotient was immeasurable, surpassed the previous best.
The Bengal Tiger roars.

Pankhu the Ullu- my darling buddy!

Mad, crazy, ullu, gadhi, paaaaaaaaagal, gene gurl, stud, fultu-mast-bindaas, my darling friend- Pankhuri!
she has done it all-
from being the rainbow after the dark clouds,
from being my cushion to hug when i have had to,
from being my counsellor,guiding me,
patiently hearin all my rantings,crap-yaps
tolerating my crazy levels of madness-
and sometimes even tantrums !
for havin eaten/drunk the supposed noodles -
i make at mid nights or even mid days at times :D
(that saad they used to be-verb there-identity crisis!)
but fun times we had, the kurkure-lays hogging included
the many many hours of sleep,thanks to you-i say;
thanks to me-you say;this is called "inspiration":D
never a dull moment between us,ever ever cherishable-
shall always treasure those times, missin them too..
oh ullu, my darling friend, cheers to you!
:)

My Rakhi Bro! :) My Best friend! :)

To see the world in a grain of sand, and to see heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour.
- William Blake
Thanks for everything,and being there, Always; bless you! :)

He's Mad, He's Genial,Oh He's Feynman!

Feynman was "half-genius, half-buffoon", but later revised this to "all-genius, all-buffoon".
-Freeman Dyson (yet another ingenial mathematician and physicist)

He drenched his hands with benzene and ignited them-
To entertain the kids around- “Magic Show” he said!
An expert safe cracker with an uncanny knack-
Cracked near impossible safes- at his whim;
Friends and otherwise- unfathomably bewildered-
Is there a thing that does not fascinate him?
And oh, he dabbles well with the bongo drums,
Beating one crazy rhythm, akin to that of his life.
He wondered at the ants’ sojourns(!),with as much interest
As he showed in analyzing a twirlig wobble-plate,
As he showed in Quantum Electro-dynamics!
His wackiness , madness- amazingly infectious,
If it diffuses through “just” his writings-
What to speak of the person himself!
His child like glee at the world’s working
A never-will-be satiated appetite for knowledge and trivia alike
Mad, eccentric,dynamic,wonderfully crazy,ingenial,mercurial-
All in one mind blowing package- Presenting Richard Feynman-
Bows!

Well well, am bamboozled, totally, right, left and centre by this one man, a Nobel Laurete- richard P Feynman. I am currently reading his book “Surely,You’re joking, Mr Feynman” and I must say, it’s definitely one of the best packaged books I have ever read. Utterly hilarious, but it has got its sensitive parts, charming the reader in its own very alluring ways.
Bows, to the book too!:)

Ships are safer in the harbor; but, they are not meant for the same.

The Reliance Empire would have been a non entity today, had Dhirubai Ambani stuck to his roots. The BPO trail blazer, Infosys sky rocketed to rule the software world when Mr Narayana Murthy broke his shackles, slaughtered the regimented frame of mind to lead, innovate and hence, follow his vision. Not in the wildest of dreams would people have thought that HughHefner, (Oh yes, The one who brought Playboy!) was brought up in an utterly conservative milieu. And the mind blowing transition is of an unthinkable magnitude. Had Hugh stuck to his confines?
Well, these are just tiny glimpses, fleeting peeps into people’s lives- their dynamic perspectives and the paradigm shifts, and above all and of course, the most conspicuous of them – the resolve and the fortitude to take the risk, to confront and yes, to overcome and emerge unscathed. Oh yes, oh yes, life CAN be definitely “nice” without the clichéd hurdles or the risks. But “nice” is not all what we wish for! Each one of us in this world has a dream, big or small or giga or miniscule. And during the journey of accomplishing them , clinching them are the figurative storms. These storms are in actual, the much vaunted exposure immaterial of its nature or extent one will have to face and brave to grow and flourish in this world. A fisherman has to brave the sea, A Roger Federer cant (wont) rest on his past glories to beat a Nadal- he has to be in swell form, all the time. The implausibly volatile sensex does not fetch profit for the meek player, NEVER! The one who takes astute and yes, calculative risks emerges the clear winner. Of course, “calculative” is the operative word.
In this world where life is whizzing past in a near rampaging pace, one has to explore, fight the circumstance, brace oneself to brave the odds, innovate and thus, thrive and soar high amidst the eagles.
“Think out of the box” is no more a cliché, because, the box does not exist today.(someone’s line) This sums up the world today!

PS: well, this was a class exerxcise (xat essay practice(so they said!))!! Was totally glad that I could muster some crap in the given twenty minutes today. For a person who hasn’t written for nearly seven months, its one relief!
